We are not a Pune firm with a Pune office, and we are not going to pretend otherwise on a page designed to rank for Pune. We are in Airoli, Navi Mumbai. Pune is roughly three hours away, which makes it the only city outside the Mumbai metropolitan region where regular on-site attendance is practical without restructuring how we deliver.
That matters for one reason: if you need somebody in the building within an hour, we are the wrong choice and a local firm is the right one. If what you need is engineering depth for a defined piece of work, the distance is not the deciding factor.

When a local firm is the better answer
There are situations where distance genuinely matters and we will say so before you commit.
If you need hardware break-fix with a same-day SLA, you need someone local with spares on a shelf. If you want a person on site weekly as part of a support contract, that is a different service from what we provide. And if your requirement is day-to-day desktop and user support, a Pune managed service provider will serve you better and more cheaply than we will.
Where distance does not matter much is defined engineering work with a clear scope: a security test, a firewall replacement, a network redesign, a segmentation project. Those are planned, mostly remote, and the on-site component is a scheduled visit rather than an availability promise.
What a first engagement usually looks like
For most Pune businesses the first piece of work is one of two things.
If a customer or insurer has asked for evidence, it is a penetration test: a scoping call, five to ten working days of mostly remote testing, a written report, and a call to walk through it. One free retest once you have fixed what was found, so what you hand your customer is a clean result rather than a list of problems.
If nothing external is forcing the timing, it is usually a security assessment instead. That answers the more basic question of what you have and where it is exposed, and it frequently identifies work worth doing before a penetration test would be a sensible use of money. Testing an undocumented network produces findings anyone could have predicted.

Working alongside your existing supplier
Most Pune businesses that call us already have an IT supplier, and the sensible outcome is usually not replacing them. Your supplier keeps doing support; we do the specialist engineering, hand over documentation, and leave. That arrangement works well and avoids the disruption of changing providers over a single project.
We are explicit about this because a supplier who feels threatened by an outside engineer is the most common reason a good project stalls. Scoping alongside them from the start avoids it.
How an engagement runs at this distance
The scoping call is remote and free. Testing and configuration work is remote. On-site days are agreed in advance and batched, so you are not paying for travel that could have been avoided. For a firewall replacement that usually means one visit for the cutover; for a new site build it may be two.
